1. Wind Turbine Technician

The median salary for this occupation is 53k annually, while the best of the best ear up to 80k annually.

2. Wildlife Control Agent

This job will keep you close to nature, sometimes taking you to the most beautifully secluded locations. As a wildlife control agent, you’ll have to conduct surveys to determine the number of various animals inhabiting a habitat and investigate claims of damage by wildlife.

Being a wildlife agent is friendly on your bank account too, as salaries range from 57k to 69k annually.

3. Cartographer

Cartography – the art of drawing maps. Although it sounds pretty boring, cartographers get paid around 64k on an annual basis for professionally designing maps.

The maps can be in digital or graphic formats as per requirement, or the job might involve just updating existing maps as needed. In order to get started on this career path you should consider a bachelor’s degree in cartography, math, geography, geometrics or engineering.

Then look no further because this is the career for you. As a nuclear medicine technologist all you’ll have to do is operate scanning equipment like MRI and CT scanners.

So start working on getting an associate’s degree in nuclear medicine technology today and start your career. The job pays well too, with a median annual salary of 75k, with the top 10 percent earning as much as 103k.

6. Bounty Hunter

That’s right, bounty hunters don’t only exist in monster RPGS – bounty hunting is an actually recognized occupation. If you want a thrilling and adventurous life then this is your calling. As a bounty hunter, you’re tasked with bringing in fugitives for the bail bonds industry. The fugitives are people who posted bail but failed to make an appearance in court.

But before you can start your bounty hunting glory days, you’ll have to complete a training program. In some states, you’ll require a license to carry out your bounty hunting tasks. The pay is variable and might go up to 6 figures depending on how good you are. The money that you get as a hunter is actually a percentage of the bail bond amount the fugitive paid.

7. Cruise Ship Entertainer

The perfect job for people who love to travel and are skilled in any entertaining art, from stand-up comedy to singing to dancing. Although not a popular occupation, the competition is still tough. But if you get the job, you get to travel the world for free, along with full health coverage, vacation pay, free lodging and FREE FOOD.

Depending on what type of role you play in entertaining the guests and on which cruise liner, annual salary can go up to $65,000!

8. Crime Scene Cleaner

Definitely not a job for the light-hearted. As a crime scene cleaner, you’ll get to see the gory aftermath of the most violent crimes known to humankind, scenes which even the most veteran officers and detectives find extremely unpleasant to view. But you won’t just have to see, you’ll have to clean up the remains of bodies, internal organs, and bodily fluids.

Although it sounds like a hellish task, the job does not come without its merits. The top brass can earn up to $75k annually. There are no specific requirements to get into this field, but individuals with a certification in federal occupational safety and health administration’ standards and procedures for cleaning crime scenes and disposing of hazardous materials are preferred.

 9. Glazier

A glazier is someone who specializes in installing glass exteriors and interiors on residential and commercial properties. From windows to shower doors, a glazier will install it all where needed.

Exterior installations are quite hazardous, which is one reason they are paid so well. Average annual salary is around $42k, with the top glaziers in the industry earning up to $79k. Prerequisites for this field are a high school diploma and participation in a 4-year apprenticeship program.

10. Elevator Maintenance


Almost every modern multistory building has an elevator installed nowadays. Elevator installers and repairers make sure you don’t have to use the stairs to get to your bed after a long and tiring day at work. These individuals regularly assess elevators, escalators, moving walkways and other kinds of lifts to make sure they meet all the safety regulations.

The best part about the job? No college degree required. Having participated in an apprenticeship is recommended though. The top 10 percent of the elevator maintenance industry earn up to $115k, which is frankly quite a lot considering the job doesn’t even require a degree.
