Family Day is on its way to Canada. The Holiday just for families!

It is about spending more and more time with your family and grow love with them. In Canada, people do fun-filled activities throughout the holiday. They watch movies together, go out together, in short, they do everything to grow their family bonding. The motive of it is to make people aware of the importance of family and know the importance of family life to everyone. People love to spend this long weekend in their home and bake delicious cookies as the weather is chilling outside. But they do go on vacationing somewhere in the country or may be away from the country.  Canada offers many activities for the families during this short winter break.

Toronto people!! See the opportunity because the city is offering many activities and events to enjoy with your family and friends in the Family Day. Here are top 10 exciting events, check them out and go there.

1.    Toronto Light Fest:

What is it? This time it is a second year when the momentous Distillery District is offering a Toronto Light Fest for all the Torontonian out there. Light up yourself with this entertaining festival and inspire yourself to attend it. The festival features many light installations and lightens sculptures all that are the masterful talent of the local and international artists. The festival starts running at sundown.

When is it? Now until March 4

Where is it? Distillery District

2.    Winter at Ontario Place: Family Day Weekend:

What is it? Ontario seems very excited for the Family Day as it is preparing and hosting many events for family and friends. The people can enjoy outdoor skating, a bonfire, light installations, and indoor food areas for all as no one can stay thrilled and enthusiastic without food. *wink*

When is it? February 16 to 19

Where is it? Ontario Place, 955 Lake Shore Blvd. West

3.    The Wizard of Oz Live in Concert:

What is it? Who doesn’t love the movie? I mean it is full of magic and fascination. Enjoy the Family Day in Toronto as it is featuring a 1939’s movie on big screens with something more delightful which is a special performance with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Hand in hand with your family and friends, walk towards the TSO and enjoy the real-life experience of the movie as it is going to be pictured in a real-life motion at Roy Thompson Hall.

4.    KidsFest:

What is it? Cheer your kids with everything you could. Celebrate the Family Day with your kids at Canada’s largest indoor event that is going to blow up your mind. It is organized at the International Centre. The event is going to feature 30 themed inflatables to provide your kids full fun and entertainment. Including in that, the event offers some educational activities and stage presentations.

5.    Winter Family Games at Casa Loma:

What is it? For all the game lovers out there, this a perfect event for you to attend. The opening of the Winter Family Games is going to be liked by everyone at the Casa Loma this Family Day. Visitors can participate in a number of enjoyable and collaborative sports. Also, the event is going to promote many jaw-dropping performances of your favorite athletes. You never know, at which moment you get a chance to shake hands with your favorites athletes.

6.    Family Funday Weekend: One World:

What is it? Throughout the long Family Day weekend, the ROM is preparing to organize a number of events for family and friends. The prominent features of the events are musical shows, special activities, story reading, arts and crafts etc.

When is it? February 17 to 19, 11 am to 4 pm

Where is it? Royal Ontario Museum, 100 Queen’s Park

7.    AGO Family Day:

What is it? Color yourself up because AGO is bringing something colorful for you all in this Family Day Weekend. In this party, the visitors are fortified to wear any color of dress which they like. It’s all and all a color party. The prominent color-themed activities of the event include paintings without paint, the bubble wrap room, making an emoji face mask, kid-friendly films, and the colorful selfie wall.

When is it? February 19, 10:30 am to 4 pm

Where is it? Art Gallery of Ontario, 317 Dundas Street West

8.    Family Day Clay Activity:

What is it? Enjoy the Family Day by getting dirty with clay. Bring your inner artist out of you and work with your family in making clay collage. Make anything with the clay, be it an object or an image. Feel like an artist and discover many new artworks. The best part is that kids under 18 are free to come and have fun.

9.    Family Day at Harbourfront Centre:

What is it? Harbourfront Centre welcomes you all to celebrate Family Day with it. The prominent features of the event are free skating lessons on the Natrel Rink, rinkside dance breaks, high pitch DJs, icy activities, a fireside outdoor lounge etc.

When is it? February 19, 11 am to 5 pm

10.  Family Day at Evergreen Brick Works:

What is it? Well, whenever there is something for free, a huge number of people would avail the opportunity. Try this free Family Day event at Evergreen Brick Works. You can enjoy the indoor activities in Brewer’s Backyard, outdoor activities in the Children’s Garden. Also, enjoy the tasty food selling there with your family and friends.

11.  Family Day at Fort York:

What is it? For people who love to engage in the historical things, and love history should visit this event. It offers the visitors to know about the history of Toronto and Fort York. Explore the historical fort’s kitchen and bring out your inner chef. Bake some good things to eat, enjoy hot chocolate, the roaring fire, and many activities for your kids too.

When is it? February 19, 11 am to 6 pm

12.  WinterStations 2018:

What is it? When it comes to beaches, who could resist enjoying the calmness of it? It is now the 4th year to this event. It is basically an outdoor exhibition to cherish Toronto’s winter waterfront landscape by featuring some temporary but pretty art pieces to The Beaches.

When is it? February 19 to April 1

Where is it? The Beaches
