The European antitrust regulating authorities has taken Google policy of forcing android manufactures to pre-install their search services and chrome browser in every android system. Google has also restricted the manufactures to sale an android cellphone without pre-installed Google service. They have fined Google a Record amount of 5 Billion Euro.

Android is supposedly an open source operating system that anyone can modify it according to their requirement with lesser Google service if not needed, but Google policies have restricted the developer to do this. Google’s this approach lemmatizes the competitive potential. This was the main reason behind Amazon Android-derived Fire OS mobile Failure.

According to studies Android cellphone contributing about more than half of traffic on internet all over the Europe and 80% Cellphone users are android user in Europe and 20% belongs to Apple and some other Operating system. In this way they are dominating in search Engine field.

Margrethe Vestager, the competition commissioner said “Google has used Android as a vehicle to cement the dominance of its search engine. These practices have denied rivals the chance to innovate and compete on the merits. They have denied European consumers the benefits of effective competition in the important mobile sphere. This is illegal under EU antitrust rules.”

As per Google Spokesperson they are going to challenge this decision because the company don’t want to lose this much money and also, they want to continue their dominancy as they were doing in the past.
